How healthy is your school?

Using Numeracy, Woodpeckers created a snowy scene by looking at time, money and fractions.

Forest School sessions are a very important part of the school outdoor learning.

Multicultural week allowed the children many experiences.

The masks were created from rubbish, children were shown how to make a football from plastic bags, newspapers and string. Other children engaged themselves in designing a tap that would allow handwashing in an area where running water could not be found. Finally, links to a school in Dudley were made and still continue today.

Gardening club meet every Friday lunchtime.

Fledglings class garden during the day.

This year Potatoes, Runner beans, broad beans, onions, garlic, parsley, peas, carrots not forgetting all the flower beds that have been maintained have given a lot of pleasure to the children and visitors to the school.

 Reception Class (Fledglings)

using the story of 'Little Red Riding Hood', explored the characters, then related them to their own grandmothers.

Does any grandmother recognise themselves?

Little Red Riding Hood needed to make a get well card for grandma using the colour purple, but the shops were closed.

Fledglings went for a walk one sunny morning and found lots of berries, (blackberries) which when they squashed them gave the colour Red Riding Hood required.
